Business & Legal Consultants is headed by Attie du Plooy and André Eloff who are supported by a team of experts to offer the full spectrum of estate planning and fiduciary services. Attie du Plooy completed his law studies (B Juris) in 1976 at the then Potchefstroom University for CHE where after he completed an Advanced Taxation Certificate (UNISA) and became a Fellow of the Institute of Life and Pension Advisors (ILPA) in 1983.

André Eloff
André Eloff (CFP) holds a BA, HED, B Proc, MBA and ILPA qualification and a Certificate in the Practicing Leader Programme (California State University). André is a fiduciary expert with more than 30 years’ experience as a legal and business consultant. He has lectured at the University of Pretoria in Specialist Trusts for the Advanced Trustee Diploma from 2010 to 2015. He is also a visiting lecturer for LLM students at UP from time to time. André also produced a few papers on trusts and is a regular contributor to Landbouweekblad with more than 30 articles on Estate Planning issues pertaining specifically to farmers. As a legal and business consultant, André is involved in holistic estate planning, business risk solutions and assurance planning on a day-to-day basis. He was a legal consultant with SANLAM and trust specialist with ABSA TRUST for 12 years. During 2018 and 2019 he wrote and presented CPD lectures at several FIA and other meetings.
Attie Du Plooy
Attie du Plooy completed his law studies (B Juris) in 1976 at the then Potchefstroom University for CHE whereafter he completed an Advanced Taxation Certificate (UNISA) and became a Fellow of the Institute of Life and Pension Advisors (ILPA) in 1983. After working as Public Prosecutor for six years he joined the corporate sector as a Legal Consultant with respectively SANLAM and ABSA TRUST until 1994 after which he started Entegra Trust, an independent trust company, specializing in the founding of Trusts and the administration of Trusts and Deceased Estates. After retiring from Entegra Trust in 2006, he joined forces with a former co-director André Eloff to form Business & Legal Consultants.
Henk Cilliers
Having founded the firm in 1994, Henk’s focus is on commercial matters which involves an intricate knowledge of the following legislation: The National Credit Act, the Companies Act, trusts, veterinary legislation, consumer legislation, environmental laws such as the Biodiversity Act, and the national payment systems environment.
His approach to matters is to be pragmatic and provide a result. Time is always regarded as of the essence and he prides himself on constructive contributions and short turnaround times. To complement his natural acumen for business, Henk was ordained with an MBA degree through the Regent University in Virginia Beach, New York in 2013.
Henk is a supporter of a healthy lifestyle, doing endurance mountain biking. He is married with three gifted children. He also supports the principles of Ubuntu and mentoring a new generation. He enjoys his holidays at the west coast at Langebaan, Western Cape.
